FAQs
Who qualifies?
Almost everyone! This product was designed for senior citizens, then they added a pregnancy rider for younger women. Weight is the only reason I have ever seen anyone declined. There is no exam, you just have to answer a few health questions.
How much pays?
Up to $5,000 on the first hospital day, then $750 for each extra day. You choose your benefits. You can pick up to $5,000 for the 1st day in the hospital. You can also select up to $750 for your additional days in the hospital. You also get to select how many days you want to be covered for, we general recommend three to five days for pregnancy.
Is income considered?
No, payments are not based on income or employer status, making it accessible to all. This product works for stay at home and working mothers.
Payments add on top of other insurance benefits. This is an indemnity plan. It pays based on the benefits you select and your time in the hospital. It will pay in addition to other benefits you have such as short-term-disability.
Can I combine benefits?
When do payments start?
Payments begin immediately upon hospital admission for childbirth. We will have to file a claim but most are paid within 14 days.
Apply Now
This plan is through a A-rated insurance carrier. They are great at paying claims, but will not let you sign up without talking to an agent.
Wait Period and Cost
The plan must be in effect for 10 months prior to having a baby for the coverage to pay.
Cost
Typically, the price for maximum benefits ranges from $70 to $85 each month. The rates depend on your age and the state in which you reside. If you were to pay $85 monthly for a $5,000 benefit for the first day and an additional $750 for subsequent days, your total cost would amount to $1,020 annually. Should you stay in the hospital for 4 days during delivery, you could be entitled to $5,000 plus $2,250, totaling $7,250. To gather $7,250 in savings, you would need to save $85 each month for over 7 years. ($7,250/$85=85.29) 85.29/12 months equals roughly 7.1 years.
